This step(and continuing steps) was to add basic color and shapes. Then I will slowly refine it until it looks great!

Next step

The next step was getting the positioning of the facial features and a general outline of them. After this comes the fun parts.

Bigger project

My new challenge to myself is to see how good of a rendering of a person I can do with this program. Ryan will be my reference, so maybe it will kind of look like him. It will take awhile, but I will post my progress as I go.
This is my first stage. I am just trying to get the shape of the head and hair correct before I try adding any other features.

Even for advertising

Well, I was asked by the brothers to create a quick poster to hang up on campus. My computer with my good art programs died, so I was left with paint. I didn't think it was possible, but this is what I came up with. I wonder what else is possible with this program?

Time for a guessing game. Whose profile is this? I will keep drawing it, and post it by steps. But whoever guesses the soonest is the coolest.

No matter what I do, my favorite subject will always be the face. Expect lots more of it, good and bad.

Listen up

I realized from my first or so post, that I said I would be posting everyday, or something like that, but I see now that cannot be. It isn't that I am slacking, it is just that it is taking me longer to do some of these drawings. So, I work on one everyday, but posts will probably be every few days or so(in this case a week and 1/2. No, the above drawing is not one of those couple of day drawings...that is a 15 second drawing....so if you actually follow my blog, hang in there, I haven't stopped my drawings.

Unfinished business

I keep picking subjects that I don't have time to finish. This bird is not done yet, but I wanted to post something. I will post the finished one whenever I get it done.

I think I will call this Earth fruit. Haha. I don't really know what it is. I only will be posting on weekdays(and not holidays) so I will post again on Tues.

I am a bit disappointed. This showed up so small you can't see it very well. Click on it so you see it bigger. No, this is not Christ. I don't think I could reverently draw him in Paint. This is just a shepherd.

Here is a fun trick I learned in a color class. You can make the same color look different depending on the other colors it is by. Look at the two grey rectangles. The top one looks quite darker but it is actually the same grey as the one below.

New Blog

I wanted a doodling blog. I want to start doing art again. Unfortunately, I only have paint on this computer, so I am going to see what I can do with it. Anyway, this is just for fun.
